Tom and I have lived in our community of about 65,000 people all our lives. However, we had never met, even though we found out that we had many friends in common. I would know if I had seen him before and he said the same about me. We met on an Internet dating site and started communicating. After a while, some things we were talking about were sounding so familiar to me, as if I had heard these things before. In any case, we started talking about the people we knew and where we liked to go.

After a month of talking and talking with my friends that knew him, I suggested getting together for a night out. He was all for it and suggested a birthday party for one of his friends, who was also an acquaintance of mind. We went out and had a great time. My wife and I met through an online dating site in the first part of 2006. We were both looking for romance and a relationship. She joined because she did not want to play the single scene and I joined because I did not have a lot of time to go out and mingle so to speak. I had talked to many different women and Faith had talked to many men, but neither one of us found anyone that we clicked with until we found each other. It was a little awkward at first because we were both a little shy about revealing too much information.

As we gradually started sharing more information, we found out that we had many things in common and shared some of the same likes and dislikes. It was finally nice to meet someone that I felt would be someone I could be comfortable with and enjoy her company. I asked her out after about two months of talking over the Internet and we had an enjoyable time. I was a little worried she would not want a second date, but she said yes. Our second date was a little troublesome since the restaurant we chose was not quite what either one of us thought it would be, but we made another date anyway.

We actually dated for eight months and we did so many things together and had fun. We found out that we could spend as much time together as we wanted to and get along without any problems or distractions. I asked her to marry me one night when I was making dinner for us both. I put the ring on her plate and when she sat down, I proposed to her. She was so excited and happy that she actually put the ring on and forgot to say yes.

I married her anyway and we have been happy ever since. We have a very good life and we plan to adopt children in the future since she cannot have children of her own. We both love children and this is the way we planned to expand our family. I am so happy I found my wife on the Internet dating site because I cannot image life without her. She has a warm and friendly smile and is always willing to try knew things, even my cooking.

Online Dating Is Where I Met My Future Husband

Dave and I met at an Internet dating site about a year ago. We had dated other people and not found anyone that we were compatible with or felt comfortable with as well. When Dave and I started talking through IM's we were casual but curious about each other. We continued to communicate this way for months, since both of us wanted to make sure this was a good reunion. I was leery as was Dave. We decided to finally meet and arranged a day at a Home and Garden Show. Now that does sound romantic, but it was something we both enjoyed doing.

We spent the day walking around the grounds and talking about the different ideas for gardens and landscaping ideas. Since I owned my own home, I was thrilled to learn that Dave had spent time working with a landscaping company for a few years. He had some wonderful ideas for my landscaping as well. After the landscaping and the dinners, movies, travels to other countries we have decided to get married. Neither one of us has much family so we are going to Las Vegas to be married and then spend our honeymoon there for a few days. We have talked about keeping my home and Dave will move in and take care of all the landscaping needs as well as everything else. He really is quite talented in many ways. I was so lucky to find him. I am glad I did not give up after a few dates with others did not work out.

I have more love for this man than I can say. He is charming, compassionate, amusing and as a great personality. My Internet dating experience turned into a blessing for Dave and me. I cannot wait until we are married and some day we will start a family, but first we want to do some more traveling before we settle down with children. Dave is the best man I have ever met or had a chance to be involved with and every day is special when I am with him. I know our relationship will last forever because we like so many of the same things and love to do things that most other people do not.
